Happy New Year!
First, little about myself. As I am writing these lines, I am in my forties son, a husband and a father of three. I was born in Aleppo, Syria and now live in the GTA, Ontario, Canada.
I have studied Statistics and Operations Research and worked in account management, project management and other business consultations mostly in IT and technology related since 2003. See my Linkedin profile to get in touch.
Here is my first post on this blog, about what to expect to see here.
Although I am a professional project management and business consultant, planning to talk mainly about professional topics or topics that interest professionals here, I have chosen to call this a personal blog. By this I mean I will address different topics that might not be seen as professional topics at first glance. But can you sperate one’s profession from his/her personality? I don’t think so.
Generally, as professionals we make living out of practicing some practices (how brilliant!) for 8 hours or more a day, but then spend the rest of time doing something else; something interesting hopefully! The thing is that I believe many (if not all) personal aspects of a professionals’ life impact their professional views and how they would approach daily issues and challenges, and vice versa. Looking at a group of friends playing cards and you can probably immediately tell they are accountants!
The idea of life – work balance is also another important point I do not to skip in may blog. As professionals, we understand how this balance is important yet difficult to maintain. This is a delicate point in everyone’s life that may find few things to help you with in here.
I hope you enjoy the blog and find it useful.
Yours,
Khabab Hachmi
